About musicians

On one stage, two outstanding musicians of international stature come together: Ulugbek Palvanov (piano) and Andrey Lakisov (saxophone).

Ulugbek Palvanov is among the most distinguished pianists of his generation.
His playing combines poetic depth, profound emotional expressiveness, and extraordinary virtuosity.
He is a prizewinner of numerous major international competitions, including the Ferruccio Busoni Competition, the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv, the Steinway Competition in Berlin, as well as competitions in Porto, Tbilisi, and Bishkek.
As a soloist, he has performed with leading orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Georgian Philharmonic, and the Bolzano Chamber Orchestra, and has appeared at renowned festivals throughout Europe, the United States, and Japan.
In 2009, he was awarded the Cultural Prize of the Finckenstein & Salmuth Publishing Group; since 2014, he has served as Artistic Director of the concert series “Pianowerke” in Germany.

Andrey Lakisov is a German saxophonist with an international career and one of the most versatile representatives of the contemporary classical music scene.
He completed his studies with distinction at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin and at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), where he earned his Concert Diploma.
He is a prizewinner of numerous competitions, a winner of the Yamaha Competition, and a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation – Live Music Now.
He has performed on major stages and at festivals across Europe, including the Munich Opera Festival, Nikolaisaal Potsdam, KLANGfest Munich, and the Stolberg Summer of Music, and has collaborated with the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the Komische Oper Berlin, Junge Musik Berlin, and other renowned ensembles.
Since 2016, Andrey Lakisov has been the founder and Artistic Director of the concert series “Untamed Classics”, known for its fresh, emotional, and bold approach to classical music.
