About the venue
As the heart of Bad Salzuflen’s musical life, the concert hall is an important venue for gatherings and cultural enrichment. Thanks to its exemplary acoustics, up to 1,200 guests can enjoy unforgettable concert experiences in the Wunderbau, which has been a listed building since 2005. Together with the forecourt, the Kurhaus, and the experiential graduation tower, it forms the expansive and spacious entrance to the spa gardens.
The concert hall in the spa gardens was inaugurated in 1963 by Heinrich Drake, president of the Lippe Regional Association. It measures 88.8 by 33.3 meters and consists of the concert hall, the foyer, and the stage area. Extensive renovation work was completed in May 2010, six months later. The renovations included, among other things, accessible entry, fire safety measures, and energy-efficiency upgrades.
You’ll find the concert hall in Bad Salzuflen’s spa gardens, right behind the historic salt works. There is a parking garage at the Kurpark, and the train station is about a 15-minute walk away through the beautiful downtown area. The best way to get to the concert hall is through the main entrance.
