About the venue
These venues offer the perfect space for any event. Thanks to its versatility and state-of-the-art technology, the Meistersingerhalle has become one of the city’s most important event venues.
After three years of construction, the hall opened in 1963. It is named after Nuremberg’s tradition of the Meistersingers. Since its opening, events of all kinds have been held here. The Meistersingerhalle can be used for large concerts, as well as dance balls, conferences, and conventions. Over 800 events in the Meistersingerhalle’s historic, protected rooms attract approximately 350,000 visitors each year. Two foyers, two halls, and several conference rooms provide ample space. The main hall seats 770 choir members alongside a Steinmeyer organ with 6,646 pipes. And despite its size, the hall captivates with its simplicity. No ostentation distracts the listener from the performance. The two halls of the Meistersingerhalle are also used for recording classical concerts.
Located in the heart of Nuremberg, the Meistersingerhalle has become a cultural institution in its own right. Here you can experience world-class concerts live. Let internationally acclaimed artists transport you to other worlds—it’s well worth it!
